November 30, December 1, 2006 Record Snowfall in Oklahoma |
The first Winter Storm of the season dumped over 1 foot of snow over parts of Northeastern Oklahoma. As we forecast, the heaviest observed snow totals were noted about 100 miles north of the upper level Low's path. Over 12 inches of snow fell from Bartlesville, OK then into southeastern Kansas which correponds to the upper Low tracking and parallelling just south of Interstate 44. New November Record: 10.4" of ice and snow was officially recorded in Tulsa, with a peak snow depth of 8.6" |
